Japanese volleyball captain Yanagita returns to Suntory June 1 at 16:03

Masahiro Yanagita, a volleyball boy and captain of the Japanese national team, who played in a German club, returned to Suntory in the first division of the V League for the first time in about three years.

Yanagita is 27 years old from Tokyo. After graduating from Keio University, I joined Suntory of V League 1st Division = V1.

He has been playing in German and Polish clubs for three years and has also been the captain of Japan's national team.

Yanagita has been a member of a German club since last year and had been in the league until February, but due to the new coronavirus, the league was canceled and he returned to Japan in March.

According to Suntory, Yanagita's contract expired and there were offers from overseas clubs, but in anticipation of the Tokyo Olympics next year, he decided to return to Suntory for the first time in about three years.

Mr. Yanagita commented, “I am very happy and excited to be able to return to a team with a strong feeling and play. I will do my best to win the championship.”
