Liverpool players, including the Egyptian player Mohamed Salah, showed their solidarity with the young black man who was killed by a policeman in the US state of Minnesota, George Floyd, during their training today.

The club posted on its official page on the social networking site "Twitter" in its Arabic version the image that showed Liverpool players kneeling on their knees around the midfield circle, a movement that expresses solidarity with Floyd.

The Reds commented on this picture with the phrase: "The union of strength", accompanied by the internationally issued branding: "The lives of black people are important."
