Emil Forsberg was ill when it came time for the Bundesliga restart, he missed the meetings with Freiburg and Mainz. However, the national team was back in the squad against Hertha Berlin. Today he had to start again on the bench.

Forsberg saw Cologne take the lead in the match. Jhon Cordoba trailed 1-0 to the home side in the seventh minute.

But Leipzig managed to turn around the event before the first half was over.

Two goals within 18 minutes

Patrik Schick tied the game at 1-1 after 20 minutes. A few minutes before halftime, Christopher Nkunku made it 2-1 to the away team.

At the beginning of the second half, the away team expanded to 3-1. Goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi provided a nice assist with a good kick that gave Timo Werner a free kick and the striker placed 3-1.

Leipzig finally won the match 4-2 and is in third place in the Bundesliga. Thus, at the time of writing, the club holds a place for the Champions League next year.

85 minutes into the game, Forsberg had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. He managed with a yellow card and a nice forward, but Marcel Sabitzer missed.
