The official website of the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club confirmed that Chairman of the Board Mahmoud Al-Khatib met this afternoon with the club’s legal committee to seek the views of its members on a number of issues that have emerged in the recent period on the sports field, most notably the fiery statements and mutual accusations between Al-Ahly’s board member Mohamed Serag El-Din and the president Saudi Entertainment Authority, Honorary President of Al-Ahly Club, Turki Al-Sheikh.
According to Al-Ahly, the board of directors of Al-Ahly decided to hold its traditional meeting next Tuesday to discuss many files related to the various sectors of the club in the three branches, and Al-Khatib's session comes today with the Legal Committee to discuss many matters before presenting to the board of directors at the next meeting.
Al-Ahly’s board of directors will discuss the current crisis between Al-Sheikh and Sirajuddin, and decide the fate of holding the match of captain Hossam Ashour’s retirement.
