Doping samples from Tour de France 2017 have been retested, in an attempt to find a doping agent that has not previously been tracked. - After receiving new information, we have identified relevant samples and made the first analyzes, says a spokesperson from the cycling sport's anti-doping organization CADF to Belgian Het Nieuwsblad.
The magazine writes that the re-tests are done as part of the investigation after Operation Aderlass, whose first action was made during the 2019 ski world championship.
Eight professional cyclists have been linked to that doping scandal and the International Bicycle Association has therefore asked CADF to do doping tests of 2016 and 2017.
