According to the member of the Board of the RBU, Ivan Cherezov, who reports to RIA Novosti, it was decided to first hold a report-and-election conference and, after the governing bodies are selected, to appoint a head coach.

“If you now propose a head coach, then the CSP will coordinate it for a long time, and the time will come to the conference,” said Cherezov.

He noted that Valery Polkhovsky, previously approved for the post of head coach, will remain a candidate for this position.

Earlier, Vladimir Drachev admitted that he would like to abolish the position of head coach of the Russian biathlon team.
