Ulrika Sandmark's contract actually expired later this year, but when the Tokyo Olympics were moved one year due to the corona pandemic, it became natural to extend the contract. TT has written about it before and now Sandmark states that everything is officially ready.

Sandmark, 56, has been the associate captain since 2012 and in recent years has also been sports manager. The Tokyo Games will be her third Olympic Games as the national team and after that she will leave the captaincy job. What she will do next is not clear.
