Between May 1 and 15, associations and associations could apply for financial impact due to the corona virus during the period March 12 to June 30. More than 4,000 applications were received.
The National Sports Board is expected to make a decision on the distribution of the support money on June 11 to allow sports associations to receive the money before midsummer.
But more money will be needed, according to Björn Eriksson.
“Big events like the O-ring and the Gothia cup that goes on in July are canceled, but do not receive support in this crisis package. I see that we will need further support from the government to keep the sports movement alive when the restrictions drag on over time, ”he says.
