After a long competition break and a failed Prix d'Amérique, trotting coach Daniel Redén made a late decision. To give his star horse Propulsion a last chance to win the Elite race which will be decided on Sunday.

- He wasn't really okay in training when we got home, and then I was very hesitant to start in an Elite race. But we trained and the heat started to come. Then you immediately know how smooth Propulsion is becoming and the last weeks have just pointed straight up. The last job on Thursday was actually crucial. Then I decided to go out on a lighter lane to see if he had any speed in his legs, and it was like releasing a rubber cord. It just carried away and I at least felt that he was where I wanted him, says Propulsion coach Daniel Redén before the Elite race.

Over 30 million

Propulsion has totaled more than SEK 31 million and won all major races in Sweden - except the Elite race.

This is the fifth time that the nine-year-old stallion is competing in the Elite race and Daniel Redén is now dreaming of a long-awaited victory.

- If anyone is worth it then it's Propulsion. I really hope he gets that mortgage in his track record, that he won the Elite race. But I am realistic that it will be damn tough, says Daniel Redén to SVT Sport
