An additional confirmed patient was diagnosed in the Coronavirus Infectious Diseases-19 (Corona19) diagnostic test, which preceded the resumption of the English Premier League (EPL).

The EPL Secretariat announced on the 24th (local time hereafter) that as a result of examining 996 players and club staff over the 19th, 21st and 22nd, positive results were obtained from 2 of the 2 clubs.

The Secretariat explained that they would be quarantined for seven days without disclosing personal information, such as the club of the confirmed person.

Previously, EPL conducted a corona19 diagnostic test on 748 people on the 17th and 18th, and 6 of the 3 teams had positive results.

They were not included in the results.

When the results of the secretariat's two announcements were put together, 1,744 EPL members were examined and a total of 8 confirmed cases were reported.

EPL has been suspended since March 13, with 92 games in the 2019-2020 season due to the spread of Corona 19.

With the government's permission to resume in June, the Secretariat is preparing to resume on the 12th of next month, and the clubs have started small group training.

There are also concerns about the disruption of the resumption plan due to the occurrence of confirmed persons, but SkySport, UK, said, "As a result of examining a large number of people, only a small number of positive reactions will cause prudent optimism."

Reuters reported that "an additional inspection will take place on the 25th to 26th, and on the 27th, we will hold 20 EPL club meetings to discuss whether to allow phase 2 of the resumption plan and training to allow all contact between players."
