Hedvig Lindahl, Caroline Seger and Nilla Fischer are three of Sweden's biggest profiles in the national team. But it is not obvious that they will play so many more years, which means that Peter Gerhardsson can be given a difficult task to replace the stars. However, the league captain claims that he does not put as much focus on what players can lay off, and makes it easy for himself.

- You always want the best players when they are good enough. It has nothing to do with age, he tells SVT Sport.

He also says that just the trio with Seger, Fischer and Lindahl, who are all over 35, have done very well for the national team. But being in the national team is something you take match for match.

- The selections take place in the short term before each international match.

There is also a strong belief that the regrowth is good, and that there will be no problems in finding new national team players in the future.

- We have had a good model with U-23. There are players coming in that will be good, says Gerhardsson.
