The question of when football can start again has been a hot topic of discussion in recent weeks. The National Sports Federation (RF), the Swedish Football Association and the Swedish elite football have had meetings with the Public Health Authority to know if, and when, the season can begin.

But there is irritation at other sports associations. The Athletics Association today wrote an open letter to RF.

- It is important that we feel that RF takes on the entire sport's responsibility. We do not mind that football has been active and is a little ahead. We do not mind their commitment to take a back seat. But it is important that RF makes clear to us other sports, that we also participate reasonably, says Secretary-General Stefan Olsson to SVT Sport.

"Realize that there is a difference between sports and sports"

Now the same feeling is felt by the Hope national team captain Henrik Ankarcrona.

- For every passing day, frustration grows. The National Sports Federation must capture its common sense, and realize that there is a difference between sport and sport. They can't pull everyone over a comb, he tells Dagens Nyheter.

Ankarcrona believes that equestrian sports, like golf, orienteering and tennis, are not a contact sport. And that the competitions that the equestrian sport wants to start will not attract large crowds.

He also points out that equestrian sports, just like football, have made suggestions on how the competitions can be conducted safely.

- We get on our knees and our nutrition is bleeding, but nothing happens.

RF Chairman Björn Eriksson tells TT that everyone works "as a beaver" to find solutions, and assures that RF works for all sports:

- For me, it is overall that sports hold together. This is a problem that affects us all, he says.

The golf association understands RF

Dagens Nyheter has also talked to the Swedish Golf Association about the situation. Secretary-General Gunnar Håkansson believes that it would be reasonable if one were to start his business but at the same time have an understanding of RF's actions.

- We think it has been a good order and that RF has represented all sports. It will probably be impossible if all sports are to run to authorities all the time. It will not be good, he tells the newspaper.
