The president of the Czech soccer club Slavia Prague announced today that all members of the team, especially the players, have been quarantined due to the discovery of a case of coronavirus. Slavavia leads Prague, the local league suspended since mid-March, due to the emerging Corona virus.

The Czech League announced earlier today that it has conducted 1442 exams for the first and second division players, resulting in two positive cases. Slava chief Prague Jaroslav Tverdek said in his Twitter account that his team's players were quarantined until Thursday, noting that the players who will resume the league competition next Tuesday, May 26 against Mladas Polislav, the other player's team that had a positive examination result, will undergo new tests on Friday and Monday.

He added, "The team expects to organize a first training session on Friday afternoon, considering the results of the examination," explaining, "We want to play Tuesday if the result of the second examination comes next Monday." Title holder Slavia Prague tops the standings, eight points off Victoria Plzen. Six matches of the regular league remain before the playoffs (five stages for the first six teams) to determine the champion, European positions and relegation (the last six teams).
