Since the start of the Covid-19 health crisis, initiatives have multiplied in the world of sport. Tuesday, May 19, Real Madrid announced the creation, in partnership with Inter Milan and Bayern Munich, of a Solidarity Cup, in order to raise funds for health services. Three meetings will be organized in 2021, in the presence of the public, specifies the club.

Three matches will be organized in 2021 in Madrid, Munich and Milan, on dates yet to be determined. "In any case, they will be contested when it is possible for the public to come to the stands," it said.

Real Madrid - Inter Milan will be organized in Madrid, Inter Milan - Bayern Munich in Milan, and that between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in Munich. During each meeting, the host club will invite the city's medical staff to come and attend the meeting to thank them for their fight against the pandemic.

"The three clubs wish to transmit a message of solidarity and fraternity between the peoples of Europe", and want "to show their solidarity, their respect and their gratitude to these heroes", it is underlined.
