Last season's SDHL third is making a big difference in the squad.

Today, the club announced that five players are leaving where the heaviest loss is Canadian forward Michela Cava and Sweden's national team back Johanna Olofsson.

Both players have been offered an extension but declined.

“There were two players with big roles and who carried a lot of ice time in our team last season. We would have liked to continue together, but they have made a decision to seek new challenges in their careers, ”says women manager Erika Grahm on Brynäs website.

"Have long-standing dialogues with players"

The slopes Georgina Farman, Mariam El-Mahmadi and Hilda Törner also leave Brynäs. The latter two had one year left on the contract but these contracts have been canceled.

The Gävleklubben is now looking for replacements on the back side where the sports manager, as well as the player, Erika Grahm is looking for both width and tip quality.

"We have long-standing dialogues with players in that category and I feel that we have good opportunities to put in a competitive back set that will help us take the next step," says Erika Grahm in the club's article.
