Hatta Club Chairman and Chairman of the Football Company, Ali Mohamed Al-Badawi, said that the Emirates General Football Authority requires that the competition not be completed, to protect clubs from wasting money, and to ensure the safety of players.

He added: "Our position rejecting the completion of the competition has absolutely nothing to do with the presence of Hatta in a declining position in the league table, and the possibility of him falling to the amateur league.

He pointed out: «There are 11 players in the Hatta club whose contracts will expire at the end of this month, including two foreign players whose loan period ends, and two residents for the same reason, and we do not have alternatives that we can compensate with all this number of players, who will leave the club another current month".

He added: «The plan currently being developed by the Professional League is to start the new season three weeks after the end of the current season, and this period is not enough for all Arab Gulf League clubs to support their ranks with new elements, especially at the foreign level, because the summer transfer market in the world will have It closed its doors, and this will undoubtedly affect the technical level of the competition in the new season, and will not serve the plans of the national team that is preparing for the World Cup 2022 qualifiers.

He pointed out, "We will not be the first league in the world to cancel its activities, and major leagues have preceded it, such as France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Their federations have affected the safety of their players, and have saved their clubs by wasting money by continuing local competitions."
