Rugby Former Japan National Team Ono retires to 98 games at most, 18 May at 15:51

42-year-old Hitoshi Ohno, who has participated in the 98 most-matched rugby national team games, has retired.

Ono is 42 years old from Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture.

After graduating from Nihon University, I played for Toshiba in 2001.

Ono has a good physique with a height of 1 meter and a height of 92 centimeters, and has abundant amount of exercise to play an active role as a forward.

He has participated in the World Cup for three consecutive games since 2007, and contributed to the historic victory from the powerhouse and South Africa in the 2015 England tournament.

Toshiba announced on the 18th that Ono will retire as long as this season.

Ono wasn't in a good condition this season, and due to the spread of the new coronavirus, there were no Top League players who were discontinued.

Ono will hold a retirement interview online on 22nd this month.
