The meeting will be held "as soon as the health situation allows," said Fifa.

In fact, neither the date nor the place of this meeting have been specified, while the coronavirus pandemic which has already killed more than 300,000 and paralyzed world sport, still imposes numerous travel restrictions.

"We are committed to organizing a global event to raise funds as soon as the health situation allows, even if we still have to wait a few months," said Gianni Infantino, president of Fifa, quoted in the statement.

"Several scenarios and projects are currently under study," added former French international Youri Djorkaeff, president of the Fifa Foundation.
