When Spanish football was paused just over two months ago, Celta Vigo players were ordered to stay in Spain. However, those words ignored the Danish midfielder Pione Sisto, but got in the car and drove all the way home to Denmark.

It has not fallen into good ground with his employer who, according to Spanish radio station Radio Galega, has punished him with the highest fine in the club's history: 60,000 euros, which equates to just over 640,000 euros.

- Pione Sisto has a problem, but it's a problem we can't talk about, says club president Carlos Mourino, to Radio Galega.

Missed six workouts

Celta Vigo has now resumed training, but without Sisto. He has now missed six workouts.

- He is a player that I want here with the rest of the team, but for the moment he cannot be, says coach Oscar Garcia.

"I take responsibility"

Sisto, who received a fine of just under SEK 6,500 from the Spanish Mythnihites for leaving the country without permission, told his Instagram account at the end of April why he traveled to Denmark.

- I take responsibility for the things I have done. Yes, I drove to Denmark in my car. There is no explanation. I was in Spain and my intuition told me to go home to my family in Denmark. I just wanted to be with them. Celta didn't know about it. I had to pay for that, and I did, he said, according to Ekstrabladet, and continued:

- This is no explanation. I did what I did. And I have to take responsibility for that. I will not hide.
