For football fans, the resumption of the Russian championship is certainly good news. However, for direct participants in the tournament, this decision of the Russian Football Union (RFU) may not be so joyful. The continuation of the tournament from June 21 raises several questions that cannot be answered unequivocally.

Before the meeting of the executive committee, the coaches of some teams spoke out against the resumption of the season in the Russian Premier League. So, the Rostov mentor Valery Karpin is sure that the players will not be able to get the form they need for competitions of this level and risk getting injured if they have to play the remaining eight rounds.

“There is no specifics. We will finish, we will not finish, when we begin, how it will look. Too many organizational issues so far, it’s just a misunderstanding of how all this will happen. Uniform of football players? It depends on how many weeks there will be training. The players will not be 100% ready. Can they play? Yes they can. Will they be able to give any result? Some can. There will be a huge number of injuries 100%, ”Karpin said in an interview with journalist Vasily Utkin.

His position was supported by the head coach of Rubin Leonid Slutsky. He cares not only about the health of his players, but also about the return of the legionnaires who cannot yet come to Russia, and if this opportunity arises, they will not be able to devote the necessary time to training.

“70 people are with us abroad. There is a government decree that all foreigners are quarantined for two weeks. It turns out that our legionnaires will be able to start training at best on June 4-5. Our last matches took place on March 11-12. That is, it will be almost three months, as we did not train. For trainers, this is an unprecedented event. These are the risks associated with the health of football players. It’s completely incomprehensible how the musculoskeletal system will behave, ”said Slutsky.

After the RFU decided to continue the championship of Russia, the opinion of the two coaches began to be shared by the mentor of the Tula Arsenal Igor Cherevchenko. He believes that the five substitutions approved by the executive committee for the match will still not be enough, since the players have not had any practice for quite some time.

“A month to prepare a team for games in two days on the third is not enough. It does not matter if there are at least five, at least ten substitutions, it will not help. I need to conduct training very carefully, because now the risk of getting injured in the training process is very high. Today it will be two months since the players are sitting at home. So far, there are a lot of questions that have no answers, ”the specialist told the Championship.

However, the players themselves do not experience the same anxiety. So, the captain of Rubin, Vyacheslav Podberezkin, admitted that he would look forward to the resumption of the season.

“For all of us, I think, and for viewers who can watch matches on TV, this is great news! We really missed football, training. I am sure that the organization of matches and training will not cause difficulties. We will follow the European experience - after all, this week the championship in Germany is resuming. Everything will be fine. We look forward to the resumption of the championship, ”the club’s press service quoted Podberyozkin as saying.

Ural striker Pavel Pogrebnyak, whose club also continues to play in the Russian Cup, is ready to play in the busy schedule. The former striker of the Russian national team is sure that the remaining month will be enough to prepare for the matches.

“A very balanced and correct decision of the RFU. The date is absolutely correct. We have time to prepare, and finish the game, and start a new season. The schedule is great! There are few games in the championship, and here is finally the opportunity to play matches more often. Everyone wants to play, not train. The main thing is that from an epidemiological point of view everything should be sterile and neat, so that there is no threat to health. I am glad that we will finish the cup this season. We have a chance to go further, and the chance to win the Cup of Russia remains. I am very happy!" - said Pogrebnyak Sport24.

Among the coaches, the resumption of the season was pleased with the mentor of Ufa Vadim Evseev. He does not consider the schedule proposed by the RFU complicated and compared it with the one used by the clubs of the Old World in the midst of European competitions.

“May 15 will be called the day of Russian football! Great news: the season will be played out. We start on June 21. A month to prepare, all on an equal footing. Yes, the legionnaires will join the training a little later, but I see no other solution. In a month we will spend 8 matches. Great schedule, so European-autumn. If Ufa sets the strategic task of playing in European competitions, then you need to get used to such a rhythm, ”Evseev wrote in his Instagram.

Although the season in the RPL will continue, in the Football National League it is finally over. At the same time, butt games for the right to be in the elite are also canceled, so only Rotor and Khimki will go on increasing next season. This decision of the RFU remained dissatisfied in the Moscow “Torpedo”, which was second only to the team near Moscow and had a chance to break into the RPL.

“We are deeply disappointed with the decision of the executive committee. The sporting principle for the FNL clubs was not respected, because both Torpedo and a number of teams could apply for access to the RPL. But, alas, we were not given the opportunity to fight. It turns out that our work during the season did not lead to the fulfillment of the task, and therefore it cannot be called satisfactory. Of course, we are to blame for the latest results of the team ourselves, but still I think that the current decision is unfair. Now we just have to prepare hard and try to achieve the desired result next season, ”said club president Elena Elentseva.

Dissatisfaction with the decisions made on Friday was also expressed in Akhmat. The last place in the RPL standings, the club wanted the season to be completed ahead of schedule. It was assumed that in this case no team would be sent to the FNL. Now Grozny will have to prove their right to remain in the elite.

“The main task is to keep a residence permit in the RPL. We were not present at the executive committee, and I do not know how all this was discussed there. But we, like most clubs, put forward our position in writing. We were against the finish of the game. The RFU Executive Committee made such a decision, if no one asks us, we will finish the game. If everyone is trying to comply with the sporting principle, then what is it, if the FNL do not play out, and we play out? ” - said the general director of "Akhmat" Akhmed Aidamirov.

In Khimki, they are looking forward to returning to the RPL after 11 years. The club’s head coach Sergey Juran assured that the team will be competitive against rivals in the top division.

“Most of us, probably, are the backbone of the contracts. They have employment contracts with Khimki for the next season. That is, we have a backbone. What I have said more than once, with this roster the team will not be whipping boys in the Premier League. Most importantly, we have a young team. Our average age is 23-24 years. The team will not need fabulous financing when entering the RPL. This is a plus or minus the same budget as it was in the FNL. But this is the decision of the finance management, ”Juran told the 360 channel.
