Today, the Athletics Association decided not to resume competitions, but instead they are postponed until the eighth of June at the earliest. Specifically, the decision means that Daniel Ståhl's long-awaited seasonal debut, scheduled for May 23 in Växjö, will be postponed in the future.
- We have a great understanding that many people want to get started and compete, but the recommendations from the authorities are still very clear, writes federation chairman Johan Storåkers in a press release.
The Athletics Association will continue its dialogue with the National Association of Athletics regarding the conditions for competitions while preparing for the start of the competition on the eighth of May.
"We will raise the Riksidrottsförbundet to try to get started earlier," says Johan Storåkers, associate chairman of the Athletics Association to SVT Sport.
