- We are making this special effort because we know that many TV viewers long for live sports and a moment of entertainment and relaxation in a tough everyday life. Together with the sport, we also want to test new formats and production arrangements in order to find a way forward in an everyday life that will unfortunately look very different for a long time to come, says SVT's Sports Manager Åsa Edlund Jönsson.

The “Challenger Meeting” this time offers two table tennis duels. One between Sweden winner Linda Bergström, Ängby SK, and 20-year-old Swedish finalist Stina Källberg, Team Mälarenergi BTK, and one between World Cup silver medalist Mattias Falck, Halmstad BTK, and last year's JVM finalist and UEM winner 18-year-old Truls Möregårdh , Eslövs AI BTK.

The ladies and the gentlemen, respectively, meet in each match played best by seven sets on a table and with no audience in place. The Swedish Table Tennis Association organizes these matches together with SVT.

The matches will be played in a custom-built studio in a garage in Oskarström outside Halmstad. Chris Härenstam comments on the game together with our guest expert, table tennis legend JO Waldner.

JO Waldner has a total of six World Cup golds (2 in singles and 4 in teams), 11 European Championships gold (1 in singles, 3 in doubles and 7 in teams) and an Olympic gold (single) in table tennis among many other companies.

The transmission time is 15: 00-17: 25 in SVT1 / SVT Play.
