Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, father and coach of UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, is currently “in serious condition”. This information was confirmed by the head of the famous Russian promotion Fight Nights Global Kamil Gadzhiev, who also talked about the health of the 57-year-old specialist with Habib. The promoter complained that "the condition is quite serious for several days now" and "so far there is no good news."
And according to one of the sports publications, Nurmagomedov Sr. is completely in a coma. Allegedly, the man had complications due to improper treatment in Dagestan, after which he was urgently transported by plane to a military hospital in Moscow. The commentator Ramazan Rabadanov also said that the specialist fell into a coma. Later, information appeared in the media that Abdulmanap came out of a coma, but it has not yet been confirmed.
Khabib Nurmagomedov himself continues to train - on Tuesday, the athlete laid out the post from the next lesson. He refrains from commenting on the state of his father’s health, including on social networks. At the same time, a couple of days ago, the UFC champion posted on Instagram a photo of his father and uncle Nurik Nurmagomedov in his youth.

UFC President Dana White did not stand aside, who emphasized that Abdulmanap Magomedovich always adheres to the principles of “honor, dignity and respect”.

Severe pneumonia and forced transportation to Moscow
The illness of the coach became known on April 25. Then the man was hospitalized in the 2nd city hospital of Makhachkala with a preliminary diagnosis of pneumonia. The specialist felt ill after returning from the mountains, where he was engaged in improving the area for athletes and planting trees. Health problems also occurred with Shamil Zavurov, a cousin of Khabib, who made up Nurmagomedov Sr.
In the hospital, the trainer passed a test for the presence of coronavirus, but nothing was reported about its result. At the same time, after a couple of days the condition of the specialist improved, and he even published a post of thanks to the doctors.

Unfortunately, the improvement turned out to be short-lived, and in early May Abdulmanap Magomedovich was taken by plane to one of the Moscow hospitals. In a conversation with reporters, a friend of the Nurmagomedov family, an Olympic sports judge, Ubaidula Osmanov, suggested that the trainer had heart problems.
“A few days ago I was talking with Abdulmanap. According to him, everything was fine, he said that he was recovering. On May 3, his close relative called me and said that he suddenly felt ill and that he was taken to Moscow by a special board. I believe that there were problems with the heart, ”Osmanov quoted RID-Dagestan as saying.
Later, Umar Nurmagomedov, another cousin of Khabib Nurmagomedov, assured him live on Instagram that his uncle was in a “stable position”.
