The incident occurred in the all-Swedish handball match between Rimbo and Kungälv in March. Rimbot coach Dick Tollbring was cursed after a player in the club was expelled for two minutes.

Then Tollbring dropped a racist comment directed at the judge, which Kungälvs-Posten was the first to report on.

- I've been doing handball for maybe 20 years and this was the second time in my life that I've had to endure such a thing on handball. The handball has been very spared from racism and I hope that from now on it will continue to be so. But what has happened has happened, the judge told the newspaper.

Can appeal

Now a verdict has come, according to Sportbladet. The magazine writes that Tollbring will be suspended for one year after a decision by the union's disciplinary committee, which regards the act as extremely unsportsmanlike and "considers itself prevented from judging the offense as anything but serious".

According to the newspaper, Tollbring writes in his reply in the judgment that he "realizes that it did not sound good" and also adds "but at the same time I have said it and it can not be said."

Tollbring is not allowed to participate in coaching at matches, but has the right to coach teams. He has three weeks to appeal the verdict.

SVT Sport has applied to Tollbring for a comment.
