After the confusion that prevailed in the preparations after the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics, the Japanese armored game champion Ryo Miyake worked in the service Itber to deliver food to homes, to keep in shape and get money during the public isolation period due to the Corona virus pandemic.

In March, the International Olympic Committee made an unprecedented decision to postpone the Olympics for one year, due to the outbreak of Covid-19.

Miyake is one of the local heroes in arms, and after he won the silver of team competition at the London 2012 Olympics, he received support from the sponsors before the start of the Olympic Games in his country, but with all tournaments canceled or postponed due to the new Corona virus, the young hero felt that it was not acceptable to have Sponsors' money.

"It is still not clear how I will participate in the Olympics," Miyake said. "I think it is rude to get money right now so I (the sponsors) asked to stop (sponsorship contracts) at the moment."

Miyake said that in light of the inability to go to the training centers during the isolation procedures in Japan, he looked for other ways to earn money and maintain his fitness at the same time.

Delivering food using his bike was the appropriate way to achieve his goal, indicating that he had the flexibility to work.

Miyake earns two thousand Japanese yen ($ 18.60) for a day at Uber Eats, but in addition to the money he previously saved, he can live without relying on sponsorship contracts, as well as looking for other ways to make money related to training.

"Now I spend my savings to live so I have to earn money myself. I also thought that working in Uber It would allow me to keep in shape," added the player, who has been working on Uber It's been for the past two weeks.

With the increased demand for food delivery during the Corona Virus pandemic, there is enough work to do and it does not require mixing with other people thanks to the policy of Uber Eats to leave food outside the home.

"The risk of infection with the Coronavirus is low," Miyake said. "Despite the belief that there is a great mixing with people due to delivery of orders, according to the work system, requests must be left outside so there is no mixing, and the only mixing is at the time of receiving food from restaurant staff."

Miyake - who was preparing for the Olympic qualifiers - does not know when he can return to training.

"The weapon is a sport that does not correspond to the current situation, because we cannot train without the players gathering. This is really unfortunate, I want to return to a situation where everyone can train freely and without any concern," he said.
