Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge expects to follow "billions" of fans of the German Witch League League Games (Bundesliga), which will be resumed next Saturday, while the German League wants clubs to agree to the emergency scenario if there is a need to cancel the season.
Rummenigge told the German weekly "Sport Bild" that the Bundesliga would receive a lot of attention, which could shed light on the whole country amid the Corona virus epidemic.
Rummenigge stated: "The Bundesliga has now become the first major league in the world to resume. If the Bundesliga is the only league to be broadcast on television, I assume that we will have billions of followers around the world" and
added: "This will not be an announcement of our football, for the Bundesliga. Not only, but for the country as a whole and especially for German politicians, who made it possible with their good approach. "
He added: "When I was young, the slogan (Made in Germany) was a trademark. We lost this somehow in recent years. The resumption of the Bundesliga also appears: (Made in Germany) It will be the absolute seal to accept things satisfactorily."
Last week, the state authorities granted permission for the Bundesliga and the second division to resume activity, but under strict rules of safety and public health established by the League and the German Confederation.
Nine rounds remain until the end of the competition, and Peter Peters, president of the association's supervisory board, confirmed that the clubs will agree to a scenario of the worst conditions in the meeting scheduled for Thursday - which is the coronation of the champion and the landing of two teams if the season is not completed.
"This scenario is unlikely to happen, but it must be organized," Beers said. "I am convinced that all clubs will agree to this proposal."
However, it remains unclear what will happen if the teams do not play the same number of matches.
The "Bild" report stated that the clubs will also be required to allow the season to be extended beyond June 30 if necessary.
