The Algerian Football Federation condemned what it described as heinous practices of match-fixing, against the backdrop of an audio recording circulating indicating possible involvement of a senior ES ES official.

Al-Ittihad said in a statement posted on its official account on Facebook today, Wednesday, that it had received an audio recording of a phone call in which two people were discussing tampering with the outcome of a possible match.

"While awaiting confirmation of the authenticity of the registration, the Algerian Football Federation strongly condemns these heinous practices," he added.

German news agency DPA reported that the audio recording includes a telephone conversation of a person suspected of being the general manager of the ES Setif club, Algerian league runner Fahd Halfaya, with another about efforts to rig matches.

Halfaya, the suspect, says during the aforementioned registration that he spoke with an official in one of the clubs about enabling ES Setif to obtain the points of the match that bring together their team, provided that he (meaning Halfaya) seeks to help this team win the confrontation that will bring him together with his host Ahli Bordj Bou Arreridj, and that He will speak to "Bou Arreridj" President Anis Ben Hammadi when the time comes.

Halfaya pointed out that if his team defeated its host Etihad Biskra and the youth of Belouizdad lost to its Chlef association, ES Setif would be crowned the league title, and the landing would go to Nasr Hussein Day and the star of Magra.

ES Setif defeated Etihad Biskra 2-0, while the youth of Belouizdad tied with its host, the Chlef Association, 2-2 in the 21st stage, which took place on 5 and 7 March last.

Halfaya also talked about ES Setif's ability to win all the matches away from home, including those that will bring him together in a federation in Abbas, who owes Setif $ 50,000 for his contract with one of his African players.

But Halfaya lied everything that was reported in the leaked audio recording, which he described as fabricated, confirming that he would resort to the judiciary for his fairness, and said that the results of ES Setif were fair.
