State epidemiologist Anders Tegnell has expressed doubts about league football in Sweden this summer. It is now hoped that the Swedish Football Federation and Swedish elite football will change through a medical protocol with measures ahead of the planned season start on June 14. Aftonbladet has come across the document that was handed over to the Public Health Authority during a meeting last Friday.

According to the protocol, players should fill out a form with a number of questions about typical symptoms of covid-19 and also report the body temperature prior to each match. Should players show symptoms or have an elevated body temperature, approval from a physician is required before once again being removable to a match squad.

"If your body temperature is over 37.5 degrees or if you answered yes to any of the questions, you may not arrive at the stadium or the team's collection without first obtaining the approval of the club's physician," the record says, according to Aftonbladet.

In case of detected cases of covid-19 among the players, it is the law's responsibility to replenish with healthy players.

“If one or more players / managers fall ill, it is also important that SvFF's competition rules govern, that is, it is up to each team to ensure that you can set up a starting eleven regardless. No special rules for Covid-19 regarding exceptions regarding responsibility to compete will be issued ”, read in the medical protocol.
