There has been speculation about Henrik Lundqvist's future. He lost his position as an unarmed first-time guard in the New York Rangers last winter for 15 years and was often missed at the booth, sometimes even the stand.
While the NHL is taking a break during the corona pandemic, 38-year-old Lundqvist is at home in Gothenburg. He has one year left on his contract with the New York Rangers, but there has been speculation about the possibility of a return to Frölunda where he played until 2005.
"For us, his future is nothing to comment on, but should that change you have to take it then," Frölunda's Sports Manager Fredrik Sjöström recently explained in an interview with Expressen.
The club wants to downplay the importance of Monday's ice pass.
