The French government issued a decree allowing elite athletes, including Olympic medals holders, to resume their training from Monday in closed sports facilities according to conditions.
This decree, which was published Monday in the Official Gazette and which represents the outline of the mitigation of the health isolation applied in the country due to the new Corona virus, states that athletes registered in the top levels, promising athletes and professional athletes can train in closed sports facilities, except for those who practice Team and combat sports.
"For these activities, the maximum number of gatherings specified in ten people is not applied," he added.
On Monday, the Ministry of Sports will publish several brochures for amateur and high-level athletes to determine the conditions in which they can exercise.
The Ministry of Sports announced last weekend that it will gradually reopen high-level training centers from today, adding that it may "take a few days to two weeks."
Since the start of the quarantine, two months ago, elite athletes have had to theoretically adhere to the same rules as all French and train at home, or a maximum of one hour per day in a region of one kilometer from their place of residence.
Voices rose inside the sports federations to give them exceptions and allow their athletes to train in better conditions.
