Thai boxing, muay thai, is a national sport in Thailand.
SVT Sport has visited the Yoannis family who devote their lives to Thai boxing and who run their own boxing stall in a suburb of Bangkok.
Boxing is their only source of income and all 16 family members are involved in the club regardless of age or gender. While the sport risks the health of young children, so does the poor's chance of livelihood, say those who defend the boxing.
- Everyone knows this is tough and tough. It's a way to defend myself and I want everyone to be Thai, says one of the family's daughters, Pawita.
