Real Madrid is waiting for a major mission this summer, especially as contracts for a group of its most prominent players are nearing completion.

On Sunday, the Mundo Deportivo newspaper reported that the contracts of captain Sergio Ramos, Croatian Luka Modric, Colombian James Rodriguez, Spain’s Lucas Vasquez and Brazil’s Casemiro expired in June 2021.

The Spanish newspaper pointed out that the priority at the moment for the Royal Club is to extend Casemiro's contract, as the club has already offered him to extend his contract until 2023 and the player appears to be on the way to approval.

But the fate of Ramos and Modric has not yet been decided, the riyal is expected to offer them a one-year renewal, but they want to stay for at least two years.

As for the Colombian James Rodriguez, he is expected to leave Santiago Bernabeu this summer, to avoid his free return after the end of the season.

As for Vasquez’s future, he will be determined according to the deals that the club will conclude this summer, after which the royal will decide if he needs his efforts.
