It is noteworthy that the previous Football Association had specified four categories of players to whom the salary cap would be applied, so that the maximum salary for the player in the first category during the same football season does not exceed 2.8 million dirhams, the second category is 1.8 million dirhams, the third category is 1.2 million dirhams, and the fourth category does not The player’s salary exceeds 600 thousand dirhams.

Yaqoub Al Ali pointed out that, according to the latest statement issued by the Football Association that sporting activity will resume next August, all contracts of national players that expire in June 2020 will be extended initially until August 2020 or until the actual end of the sports season.

Al Ali added: "As for the foreign professional players whose contracts will expire in June 2020, we mean the foreign player, i.e. the player who does not have the nationality of the state, whether he is a citizen of the citizens, a resident or a foreigner, their clubs must negotiate with them regarding the extension of their contracts."

Yaqoub Al Ali pointed out that with regard to opening the registration door for the next season, there will be many exceptions in this regard, including when the summer registration door will open, as well as when the winter registration door will open.

In response to a question about the legal status of a citizen player who is currently playing from one club and at the same time signed a contract with another club, Al Ali said: "There will be no conflict in the two contracts for the simple reason that the player is obligated to contract with his current club until the end of the current sports season."
