The head of the medical committee of Al Ain Football Club, Dr. Talal Al-Khazraji, has asked the Football Association for amendments that allow seven substitutions to be made during one game instead of three, because the league will be held at a high temperature during August.

Khazraji said in his interview with Al Ain TV: «I propose, from a medical view, to adopt some adjustments that are compatible with the bid of players under high temperatures and humidity, most notably the list of substitutions by raising the ceiling of the changes to seven instead of three».

He added, "This matter enhances the drop in injuries and contributes to reducing the burden on the players and the entire team by 50%, in addition to raising the technical level of the matches by distributing the effort to the largest number of players participating in the match."

On the amendments he sees from a medical point of view, to protect players from injuries in that period, he said: “I believe that the resumption of the league in August with high temperatures and humidity will force the competition management committee to determine the start of matches after eight in the evening until they are held in a low temperature.” .

The head of the medical committee added that «the weather in the country during the month of August does not help in the resumption of the Arab Gulf League competition, except in the event that the Football Association adopts some amendments to the list of competitions in order to protect players from sports injuries, especially since the preparation phase must begin in July And the intense training doses for raising the fitness rate in light of the high temperatures and humidity reflect negatively on the health of the player and affect the mental presence and the rate of focus and impose psychological pressure on them ».

Talal Al-Khazraji:

The weather during August does not help the resumption of the Arab Gulf League competition.
