On March 12, the NBA announced the postponement of the season for the world's best basketball. The day after, hockey followed, when the NHL postponed the season.

After more than two months in quarantine, parts of the league's players will now resume training.

According to the National Post, the government in the province of Ontario has given the law permission to start training at the respective training facility. The Ford Performance Center, which is Toronto's Maple Leafs training facility, will open next week, but according to sources from the government only with a maximum of four participants at a time, writes the National Post.

Players will also have to wear masks when they are not training.

The Toronto Raptors announce via their website that they will only allow one player at a time to train in the OVO Athletic Center.

"The idea is for players to practice what they can't do at home, such as shooting training," the club writes on its website.

So far, there are no dates for when neither the NBA nor the NHL will resume.

Ontario has so far had 19,121 confirmed cases of covid-19, in which 1593 people have died.
