It was Perry Olsson who picked Petter Northug's skis when he was at his best in the cross country.

Now the former Norwegian star congratulates the Swedish national team, which gets the star back after 17 years in the Norwegian national team.

- Sweden should feel fortunate. They get the world's best walker - and also a fantastic person in their team, says Northug to Expressen and sends a greeting to Olsson.

- I just want to thank Perry for all the help - and wish him luck in Sweden.

It was on Monday that it became clear that Perry Olsson is returning to the Swedish national team, where he was a walker between 1996 and 2003 before moving to Norway.
