It is when Europe Road 45 is now to be widened into the Mora center that Vasaloppet will take on.
The rally will be about 100 meters shorter when the finish line is now moved backwards and placed in height with the clock stack at the roundabout on Vasagatan.
"The length of the riots on Vasagatan has changed several times throughout history, although the goal has been in basically the same place since 1922," says Mats Rylander, project manager at Vasaloppet in a press release.
However, Rylander assures that the overall length of the race will not change significantly.
- The stretches of the track are adjusted almost annually, among other things, depending on how the soil conditions in the Vasalopps arena look like, says Rylander.
A new destination portal will also be built, the current classic that became permanent in 1986 may remain in its original location.
