His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Chairman of Al-Jazira Club and Vice-President of the Club’s Honor Council, issued a decision to restructure the boards of directors of the Al-Jazira Club and the subsidiaries of the group, with the aim of enabling the next stage of institutional development, and applying the best standards of governance, The decision also provided for the restructuring of the executive committee of the club’s board of directors, provided that the decision comes into force immediately after its issuance.

The decision is a reflection of the continuous efforts aimed at consolidating the best levels of global governance and performance throughout the institution, and constitutes the latest in a series of gradual steps taken by the club since 2018, to ensure sustainable success in the future.

The Board of Directors was formed under the chairmanship of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the membership of: Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Dr. Sultan Al Jaber (Deputy Chairman of the Board), Ahmed Al Sayegh, Rashid Al Hamli, Muhammad Al Suwaidi, and Saeed Abdullah Bin Shaiban, Tariq Al-Masoud, Sultan Al-Hamiri, and Hamad Al-Suwaidi.

The Executive Committee of the Board of Directors was also reconstituted, headed by Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, and the membership of Ahmed Al Sayegh, Rashid Al Hamli, Muhammad Al Suwaidi, Saeed Abdullah Bin Shaiban, Tariq Al Masoud, Sultan Al Hamiri, and Hamad Al Suwaidi.

The Executive Committee will act as a board of directors for subsidiaries, to ensure the implementation of governance systems, unify efforts and coordinate actions, and implement the club leadership vision.

The Executive Committee of the Board of Directors is scheduled to hold its first meeting remotely next week, to follow up on developments and developments, implement new governance measures, and review priorities for all entities of the club.
