Perry Olsson, 64, left Sweden for the Norwegian national team in 2003, where he worked for Marit Björgen and Petter Northug, among others.

Last April his contract expired and SVT Sport can reveal that he is now ready for a return to the Swedish national team.

This despite the fact that he received an offer to extend with Norway.

The length manager: "We hope"

Long-time manager Daniel Fåhraeus is wordless when he is met by the tasks.

- Where did you hear it somewhere? Oops. No, I don't want to comment on that. But as you know, we have a dialogue with him.

Can you confirm or reject the information?

- No, I don't want to comment on that. We have a dialogue with him and will return when it's done. If it becomes clear. But we hope so, says Fåhraeus.

Olsson confirmed interest

On April 27, Olsson told SVT Sport that there was an interest, but that the ball was with the Swedish federation.

- They have said that they should be ready this month. But it goes longer and I don't get anything from Sweden so I continue in Norway, he said then.

An acquisition of Perry Olsson would strengthen a Swedish whaling team that has been criticized at times during the past season. New election manager Petter Myhlback has described Olsson as "a legend" for Radio Sports.

SVT Sport has asked Perry Olsson for a comment.
