Of Kilian Jornet his exploits are known in racing and mountain peaks, but in times of confinement by COVID-19 has also demonstrated its creativity with a video that recreates home the challenges that culminated in recent years the 'Summits of My Life' project.

The video, which the Catalan athlete has posted on his social networks and which he filmed from his home in Norway, parodies the rise to some of the best-known challenges, all of them included in the documentaries 'A fine line', 'Let me live' and 'Path to Everest'.

In 2012 Jornet started Summits of My Life, a project that led him, for five years, to climb the summits of Mont Blanc (with three ascents), the Matterhorn, the Elbrús (which he did not reach), the Denali, the Aconcagua and the double ascent to Everest.

And now, with more time than usual before the impossibility of competing and organizing expeditions, the mountaineer has perked up with a recreation of each of the feats in which a sense of humor is not lacking.

For its realization, the athlete has edited the piece in 'stop motion', an editing technique that consists of pretending to move static objects through a series of successive still images.

The video begins with the ascent of Mont Blanc. Jornet uses a white sheet to imitate the shape of a summit and, in addition to the ascent, he remembers how he completed the descent, letting himself slide down it.

To remember the Matterhorn summit (Italy), the mountaineer climbed the roof of his house, while in the case of Elbrús (Russia), which was marked by harsh weather conditions, he appears inside his home, with a curtain in the background, a winter hat and the sound of strong gusts of wind.

The summit of Aconcagua (Argentina) is remembered for its rugged descent and, in the parody, it is recreated from the stairs of his home, simulating some of the falls he suffered.

Then came the Denali expedition (United States), which Jornet carried out with mountain skis, a project that in the video simulates a few turns without snow in the garden of his house.

Finally, to commemorate the double ascent to Everest, Jornet wears the equipment with which he completed the summit in the video and, with the two ice axes, simulates the ascent, which ended at night, in a narrow corridor located in the exterior of his house and a dark staircase to finally show his tired face.

Precisely this month of May will be three years of that expedition and Jornet will commemorate it sharing weekly memories and exclusive images of the last of the Summits of My Life challenges, which he immortalized in the documentary 'Path to Everest'.

At the moment, in the first of the videos he has shown that, in addition to being one of the most recognized mountain athletes in the world, he has talent as an audiovisual producer.
