After a meeting last Friday between Premier League representatives and representatives of the British government, it is clear that the goal of the English High League is to restart in June. Then face empty stands and on neutral plans around England.

For Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, the stoppage and the enforced corona quarantine in the UK have meant an above-mentioned situation.

- I have never stood still for such a long time in my career, but I try not to make such a big deal of it. Greater powers are in the making and working and whatever I do, I agree, De Bruyne tells Belgian newspaper Het Laaste Nieuws.

"Feels more like the start of a new season"

Before the corona break, Kevin De Bruyne celebrated big personal triumphs on the pitch and scored with nine goals and 20 assists. For the Belgian team Manchester City, things have been slower. While waiting for the restart, the light blue from Manchester is 25 points behind Liverpool but for De Bruyne the restart will be like starting all over again.

- When the league starts up again I don't really see it as an extension. It feels more like the start of a new season, the Belgian says and continues:

- The financial aspect is far too important for the Premier League and unless the series ends, there will be major problems.

De Bruyne's teammate, the notorious goalie Serio Agüero, has expressed concern over the health risks of a reboot of the league. Kevin De Bruyne looks at the situation with greater calm.

- I do not think that they are really afraid of their own sake but more about their families. It is a problem for many people. Everyone will be tested when we start playing again.
