The plan for the Bundesliga to resume on May 16 is still current. The German Football Association, DFL, has submitted a 41 page long proposal on how to resume the season - safely - in the middle of the corona pandemic. The government will make this decision on Wednesday next week.

"The Bundesliga is a company and other industries can get started," says Leipzig's CEO, Oliver Mintzlaff.

On April 8, the Bundesliga team resumed training, but in adapted forms. As Germany has eased some restrictions around the corona epidemic in the country, football clubs are now waiting to resume training.

The proposal from the DFL states that 20,000 tests will be carried out. RB Leipzig, with Swedish Emil Forsberg in the team, has according to German Bild conducted coronate tests on all players and leaders in a laboratory in Berlin.

- Hopefully all tests are negative and if the authorities give the green light to resume team training, it is important that all teams are given the same conditions. We hope to start training on Tuesday, says Oliver Mintzlaff.

The club then plans to quarantine itself for 7-10 days, according to German newspaper Kronen Zeitung.
