Borussia Dortmund soccer CEO Hans-Joachim Fatske has called for a rethink of professional football culture when the SK epidemic crisis ends.

"I recently felt surprised by the criticism leveled at professional football in society ... If we survive this crisis, many things must change," said Fatske, 60, on Tuesday.

Dortmund CEO mentioned that there is a need to return to be more pure, and strongly criticized "the golden steak stories and all the things that are bragged about" amid news of football players' excesses.

"Since football has globalized, I am suspicious ... but in Germany we should try to regain control of some things at least," he said.

Speaking of the financial situation after the season was interrupted, Fatske said that the club did not have to borrow, "but this will not last forever if we do not get any return."
