Khadija Genghis - the fiancée of the late Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi - who was killed inside his country's consulate in Istanbul, demanded that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman not be able to purchase Newcastle's rival club in the English Premier League.

Khadija said in a tweet with her official account on Twitter, that her lawyer "submitted a memo to the CEO and the Premier League to stop Bin Salman's acquisition of Newcastle."

She said, "There should be no place in the Premier League for those accused of murder and atrocity," noting that this deal "will tarnish the English Premier League and the United Kingdom."

According to frequent press reports, the Saudi Investment Fund, which is headed by Mohammed bin Salman, is seeking to acquire 80% of Newcastle FC shares for $ 370 million.
