On March 9, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte ruled that all sports should be stopped in the country. Since then there has been a lot of discussion about when the Serie A football league will start again.

Conte recently said that football players will start individual training on May 4, and on May 18, they will begin team training.

However, Sports Minister Vincenzo Spadafora is skeptical that Serie A will resume this season.

- The possibility of resuming Serie A has become less and less. If I were president (in the clubs), I would focus on the next season, "Spadafora tells La7 TV channel, according to The New York Times.

"Could be a European line"

France and the Netherlands have ended their football seasons. But the Bundesliga, Premier League and Serie A have announced that they want to end games.

- The decisions in France and the Netherlands can make Italy follow that line. It could be a European line, says Spadafora.

The Minister of Sports also believes that the club presidents in Serie A may be required to close the season and start preparing for the next one.

- If the championship were ever to resume, it will surely be behind closed doors, says Spadafora.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has trained with Hammarby, is still in Sweden.
