Russian MMA fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov turned to his subscribers in connection with the difficult epidemiological situation that has developed in the world due to coronavirus. As the current UFC lightweight champion noted, irresponsible behavior has already led to the fact that medical facilities in Dagestan are crowded and the infection continues to spread.

“Many hoped that trouble would go around our house; many still do not believe in the seriousness of the situation. However, our negligence, ignoring the advice and requests of doctors, together with the panic that arose in the people, led to a high rate of spread of the disease, exacerbating the already difficult situation every day. And this led to the fact that our hospitals are overcrowded with sick people today, there are not enough specialists and medicines, and the number of infected people is only growing, ”Nurmagomedov wrote on his page on the Instagram social network.

In this regard, the athlete asked everyone to behave as responsibly as possible in the current circumstances and observe the regime of self-isolation. He emphasized that currently it is necessary to limit visits to public places so as not to endanger either yourself or your loved ones.

"Believe me. The disease is deadly, and we already feel it on ourselves. Staying at home, we can reduce the burden on doctors and hospitals, and, perhaps, timely care shown by us will cause the salvation of someone's lives. Take care of your loved ones, do not let them out of your home unnecessarily, ”Nurmagomedov concluded.

Habib’s call elicited a response among his colleagues in mixed martial arts. He was supported by manager Ali Abdel-Aziz, a former Bellator fighter Murad Machayev.

It is worth recalling that a few days ago, Nurmagomedov’s father Abdulmanap was hospitalized with suspected pneumonia. On the same day, he passed a coronavirus test, but his results were never made public. Subsequently, Nurmagomedov Sr. said he was doing well and expressed gratitude to the doctors.

“I want to thank and congratulate the ambulance workers. Warriors and rescuers in white coats, ”wrote Nurmagomedov Sr. on Instagram.

Unlike Habib, another Russian UFC fighter is currently located in Thailand. Peter Jan trained at the Tiger Muay Thai camp and, according to rumors, was seen as a substitute for Jose Aldo in the title fight with Henry Sehudo. However, due to visa problems and a pandemic, the coronavirus was forced to stay in Phuket.

“About three weeks I was here without a family. I thought they would fly in, buy it, warm themselves, and maybe we would fly home all together. It turned out that they stayed, ”said Jan on the Gorilla Fighting Championship YouTube channel.

At the same time, the athlete expressed the opinion that in the end everything worked out for him in the best way. According to Yang, in Thailand he spends his time profitably and continues to maintain a competitive form.

“Here I eat right and train. The child bathes every day in the pool. Being in Thailand gives me more advantages, ”Yang concluded.

ACA fighter Alexander Emelyanenko also respects self-isolation. Currently, a PRIDE veteran is in Grozny, where he continues to prepare for the fight with Magomed Ismailov. As the athlete himself admitted, he lives in the residence of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.

“I go out very rarely, if only by breathing air. I don’t see anyone and do not communicate with strangers. Grozny is on very strict isolation. I train twice a day, it depends on my mood. I’m on a diet, because of this I’m always hungry, I always want to eat. I have to limit myself, I never leave the feeling of hunger, cold and slight malaise. I have such a job - to constantly overcome, ”said Emelianenko Jr. on Sputnik Radio.

Former ProFC champion also turned to quarantined people. Emelianenko wished them to gain strength and engage in self-development.

“Let people rest and recover. They read or do exercises ... Let them calm down and stop running forward, headlong, analyze their life and actions, discard all unnecessary and unnecessary, and then live and enjoy life. Even in conditions such as self-isolation, you have to have fun, ”added Emelianenko.

Meanwhile, another MMA fighter Alexander Shlemenko and representatives of his Storm team continue to volunteer. Previously, athletes were already engaged in the delivery of drugs to older people, and subsequently engaged in the distribution of products. This was announced on Tuesday by ex-Bellator welterweight champion Andrei Koreshkov.

“Today, about 600 applications for the delivery of food to all needy citizens were able to fulfill. We worked harmoniously, responsibly, and tried to help our citizens to the maximum, ”Koreshkov explained.
