The Syrian Football Association announced the resumption of local league competition, at the end of next May, that the matches will be held without a public presence, due to the outbreak of the "Corona COVID-19" virus.

This came in an official statement issued by the Football Association in Syria, and published by the local media, indicating that the Premier League clubs are allowed to resume training in the first of the same month, in full compliance with safety and preventive measures for players and technical devices, to avoid exposure to coronavirus infection.

It is noteworthy that the Syrian league, like most other leagues, has been suspended due to the Corona virus since last March, in light of the precautionary measures taken by the Syrian government to limit the spread of "Corona", before the Federation finally re-sets the date to return to training and complete the league matches, knowing that the Tishreen team Al-Sahili tops the championship with the end of round 16 with 39 points, a difference of six points from Al-Wathba Al-Homsi Al-Wasif, while Al-Jaish and Hattin share the third place with 30 points.
