Balls and stadiums will need to be sterilized continuously when the Spanish football season resumes, to reduce the chances of infection for players and officials in the Coruna virus, according to a prominent Spanish doctor.

And stopped the Spanish football since 10 of last month due to the pandemic Corona virus, at a time when officials are planning to resume this season to avoid huge financial losses, although no date has been set yet.

The head of the Spanish Football Team Doctors ’Association, Rafael Ramos, stressed the importance of providing the appropriate conditions when the matches resume without the presence of fans in the coming period.

"All things and even the stadiums must be sterilized before the match and between the two halves and after that ... it is possible to get infected by an unknown ball, but when a sterile ball hits a sterile surface it is difficult to get infected," Ramos told Elbais newspaper on Sunday.

Ramos believes that medical devices are also concerned about the increasing number of injured at the resumption of the season because of the need for players to exercise at home in light of the general isolation procedures in Spain.

"We are not only concerned about the virus ... the players will go through eight weeks without competition and after confinement to their homes, not all of them own large houses where there are places designated for physical training," he added.

He continued, "We do not know the period required for the readiness without an increase in the number of injured, so we must extend the preparation period as widely as possible in order to ensure that we have reached the minimum level of risk."
