English Premier League club Chelsea announced today, Saturday, that it will not reduce the salaries of first-team players in light of the crisis that stopped competitions due to the new epidemic of Corona virus (Covid-19), but rather asked them to support charitable works.

The club said in a statement published today that the first team players "will not make financial contributions to the club", after discussions that took place on the repercussions of the epidemic, but Chelsea called on the players to contribute to charity.

The "Sky Sports" network had reported earlier this April that Chelsea players had entered into talks about a 10% reduction in salaries, in light of the current crisis, and the club's manager, Marina Granovskaya, had discussions with team captain Cesar Azbeliquita.

However, Chelsea announced today in a statement, that the players ’salaries will not be reduced, and he also confirmed that he will not use the government’s job-keeping policy.
