Due to the cessation of competition caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the encrypted channel had warned the LFP in late March of its intention not to honor its next payment of TV rights - some 110 M EUR, followed for a few days later by its Qatari competitor. The LFP Bureau then appointed four club presidents, including Nasser Al-KhelaĂŻfi (Paris SG), to negotiate with the historic broadcaster of the Championship and obtain payment for the matches already delivered which was included in the payment.
